Our Climate Pledge - COP 26 (added 27/10/21 by Mrs James)
We have been working behind the scenes to create a fortnight of exciting and thought provoking activities for all classes which will link closely with the COP 26 event being held in Glasgow. We look forward to this becoming the launch of an ongoing topic investigating climate awareness and eco development across all stages. Please keep a look out on our twitter feed and website to see what we have been working on. My thanks to Miss Naismith and Miss Weir who have been leading this exciting project.  We are really looking forward to sharing our activites with all our pupils and Milton families over the next two weeks.

October Break (added 8/10/21 by Mrs James)
We wish all our Milton families a lovely October break and look forward to welcoming you back on Monday 18th October.

Breakfast Club (added 8/10/21 by Mrs James)
There will no longer be a requirement to book in each week for the Breakfast Club - children are able to attend this from 8.15-8.45 on any day. Mr Mitchell will continue to be at the front door entrance from 8.15 - 8.30 for those attending the club and anyone coming from 8.30 onwards will enter via the school playground gates.

Pop Up Stalls (added 8/10/21 by Mrs James)
Thank you to all who supported, donated and benefitted from our pop stall of Halloween costumes, Christmas jumpers and jackets yesterday and today. This has been really successful - especially for the costumes and we hope to host another pop up Christmas jumper/Winter jacket stall next term.

Challenge Poverty Week 4th - 8th October (added 4/10/21 by Mrs James)
This week is Challenge Poverty Week which is organised by Poverty Alliance. Throughout our classes this week, we aim to raise awareness of the equity agenda and the importance of tackling poverty in our school and our local community. We are hosting our second pre-loved clothing stall this term and are asking for donations of the following;  Halloween costumes, Christmas jumpers and Winter Jackets. If there are any items you no longer need or are too small, we would be most grateful to have these for our pop up stall on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th October. All donations can be brought by your child and given to the class teacher or can be handed in to the school office. Our pop up stall will be in front of the school from 2.00 - 3.30 on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th October - please help yourself or a note can be emailed to the school office and we can pop items in bags after the October break.  We will also have our pre-loved rail of school uniforms outside on both days too.
