Welcome to a new session in Milton Primary! I will be working with a number of classes this session and look forward to all our experiences and learning.

Term 2
Primary 4
Primary 4 worked very well in their grammar lessons and can use nouns in a variety of ways. We have started our lessons on further developing our use of verbs. In Mathematics, shape lessons are now complete, and pupils are moving onto a block of lessons on measurement. Pupils showed great interest in learning new colour names in French and can use the colour words well. Their next stage in French will be focussed on increasing their vocabulary of classroom objects.
Primary 6
Primary 6 are focussing on verbs and adjectives during grammar sessions. In French, Primary 6 continue to focus on colour and will then move onto learning different greetings. Shape lessons are soon to be completed in Mathematics with pupils then focussing on measure.
Primary 1
Primary 1 have been using the French colour names well. They are now learning simple greetings in French. 2D shape work is complete and pupils are working well in lessons based on 3D shapes. Handwriting skills continue to be practised.
Primary 3
Primary 3 have finished their work on shape and have moved onto measure. Their literacy lessons with myself now focus on sentence structure, and grammar lessons will be linked to their writing focus.

I’m pleased to say I will be providing nurture sessions for a variety of learners across the school, on both a group and individual basis. These sessions can involve practical activities, stories, games, drama and much more. Support for learning will also be within my remit and again I’ll have the chance to work with a range of children who either require individual/small group support or challenge.
I am pleased to have a regular slot with P5 on a Tuesday afternoon which will involve one of their PE sessions where I will be introducing the children to some new sports and games as well as building on the skills and knowledge they have previously developed.
