Have a lovely Summer! (added 26/6/24 by Mrs James)
We wish all our Milton families a lovely Summer holiday and look forward to welcoming you all back on Wednesday 14th August. Good luck to our class of 2024 moving on, we know you will be wonderful!
 


Sports Day Reminder - Friday 14th June 9.30 (added 13/6/24 by Mrs James)
A reminder that our sports day will take place at the Glebe from 9.30am tomorrow. We look forward to welcoming spectators on the day if you are able to make it along. We will be finished no later than 10.30 and are keeping a close eye on the weather incase of any last minute decisions due to heavy rain (fingers crossed for dry weather). Please make sure your child has an appropriate waterproof jacket on the day. 
 


Crazy Hair Reminder - Friday 7th June (added 5th June by Mrs James)
A reminder that our crazy hair day will take place this Friday for £1. The money raised will be used to pay for some iced treats for our Sports Day next Friday. We can't wait to see what styles you will be wearing!! Money can be handed to class teacher in the morning, thank you.
 


Secondary School Transport Consultation - Update (added 29/5/24 by Mrs James)
The timing of the General Election means that the June Executive Committee now falls within the pre-election period, which is the period between the formal announcement of the election and polling day. Given the interest in the secondary school transport consultation, and the high level of public engagement there has been, it is now intended that the Executive Committee will consider this proposal on 7th August rather than the 26th of June as previously stated.

Statutory Consultation Outcome Report (added 23/5/24 by Mrs James)
The council has produced their outcome report following the statutory consultation on the proposal to:
alter the qualifying distance for free secondary school mainstream transport to those living over 3 miles from their catchment secondary school. (current entitlement is more than 2 miles). The report will be available to view by the close of business on Friday 24 May 2024.

The next step is that the consultation outcome report will be submitted to the council’s Executive Committee for decision on 26 June 2024.
 


Primary 2 Assembly Reminder - Friday 10th May (added 7/5/24 by Mrs James)
A reminder that our Primary 2 assembly will take place next Friday at 9.30 - doors will open from 9.20. We look forward to welcoming you on the day if you are able to join us.
 


Report Cards (added by 27/3/24 by Mrs Prentice)
Report cards are now available on ParentsPortal. If you go into the Services tab, the report card can be found in the Report Cards section. If you have not signed up for ParentsPortal as yet, paper copies of the report will be sent home. A link has been sent out via ParentsPortal for report card feedback. If you are having difficulty accessing this, please use this link to access the feedback form: Report Card feedback form
 


Secondary School Transport Consultation (added 7/3/24 by Mrs James)
The consultation on the proposal to alter the qualifying distance for mainstream secondary schools transport is still open and will close on 15thy March. The proposal document can be viewed and a response made via Secondary school transport - consultation - South Lanarkshire Council

As Head Teacher my aim is to create an ethos where all our pupils are able to achieve their full potential and develop their talents in a supported and nurturing environment. Our enthusiastic and hardworking team want your children to enjoy their time at Milton Primary School and look back on the happy times and learning opportunities that we provide.
